"When looking upon one of my wearable art pieces, and the desire to touch and play with the piece is overwhelming, then you are experiencing my intent. As you view my framed art and find yourself drawn in, I have done my part. Take a peek at the functional items, if you find the design pleasing or playful, I've yet again been successful in my goal."

about the artist...
Valerie Aharoni grew-up in the great mid-west during the memorable 60's. The energy and creativity of that era nurtured a creative adolescent. She studied ceramics at University of Iowa. Left that behind to earn a degree in Science and to raise a family.

Now, years later, Valerie Aharoni has returned to her thirst for beauty and creativity. A catastrophic illness sent her on a search for release and a dear friend presented Valerie with a true gift of clay. In the years since her journey with polymer clays Valerie Aharoni has had the opportunity to learn from the pioneers in the medium and, even more gratifying, teach and share her own discoveries.

She brings a life long fascination with form and color to her art. Her travels and years spent in the Mediterranean and Middle East lend a vibrancy to her work. Valerie allows the inherent humor and life in the clay to blossom.
